Sarah Svitak
Sarah joined Morris Animal Foundation in April 2021 as COO, providing strategic and thoughtful leadership in the areas of finance, human resources, operations, and technology. Sarah’s professional passions and skill set are in business management, with intentional focus on internal operations and a thriving company culture. When an organization’s operations are efficient and effective, staff have more time and energy for programmatic delivery, fundraising, mentorship - in other words, doing the job you hired them to do. Sarah also knows the importance of cultivating a strong company culture – the heartbeat of the organization. Tenured, engaged staff means increased levels of talent and productivity, sustained organizational knowledge, stronger teamwork, and more innovative ideas. Morris Animal Foundation remains committed to strong internal operations and a vibrant team, knowing that it extends the reach of our mission, further increasing our impact on animal health worldwide.
At home, Sarah lives with her husband, Tyler, and black Pomeranian, Konah Bear. She loves to cook and entertain, garden, spend time with family and friends, and escape to their cabin in the Spanish Peaks Wilderness Area on the weekends.
