July 26, 2022 – Finding the perfect organization to bring together your passions and philanthropy is the desire of most charitable donors. For Dr. Anita Migday, that means being a donor to Morris Animal Foundation and now, years after her first donation, serving as a member of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees.

“My journey to the Foundation probably began at the age of 15 when my curiosity and caring for animals extended to my first job in an animal hospital,” said Dr. Migday, who was the owner and director of Slade Veterinary Hospital in Framingham, Massachusetts, for more than 40 years.

In addition to her veterinary practice, she provided veterinary expertise for the National Education for Assistance Dog Services and served on their board of directors. She also spent six years in local broadcast, giving tips as a pet health expert, and hosted a national PBS series, “Cats and Dogs,” in the mid 1980s.

At Morris Animal Foundation, Dr. Migday wants to build on that work in her new role as Trustee. Her many years as a practicing veterinarian give her insight into the on-going critical issues for animal health that will help ensure the Foundation continues to fund the best researchers conducting the best science globally.
