Feline Panleukopenia – A Deadly Virus Makes a Comeback
March 26, 2019 – Foundation-funded scientist from the University of Sydney is tackling the feline panleukopenia rebound by studying the intestinal virome of FPV-infected cats.
Researchers will identify genes responsible for the lack of immune defenses associated with feline herpesvirus, a major cause of upper respiratory infections in cats, with the aim of developing a more effective vaccine.
