DENVER/May 20, 2019 – Morris Animal Foundation, a leader in advancing animal health, received eight 2019 Muse Creative Awards. The awards reflected the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to connect people with a passion for animals to the Foundation and its mission through innovative marketing as well as updated branding.

The Foundation received a Platinum award for its new logo and a Gold award for its 2018 Colorado Ballet advertising campaign, and six Silver awards. The Muse Creative Awards are an international competition for creative professionals who possess the unique ability to inspire with a concept, idea or design - whether through traditional materials or electronic media.

“The Muse Awards are highly respected and a great honor for our dedicated, in-house staff members who work hard every day to create awareness about the Foundation and the work we do to help animals everywhere have longer, healthier lives,” said Carol Borchert, Vice President of Marketing and Brand Strategy at Morris Animal Foundation. “Each product represented in these awards creatively reflects our impactful work while helping us engage with our audiences.”

The new logo took its cue from the old to recognize the Foundation's 70-year history, but infused it with new life, color and pizzazz. It still captures the breadth of the Foundation’s funded work, but now has a cleaner, more modern and sophisticated font, as well as more fluid artwork lines, among other changes.

The Colorado Ballet campaign was designed to introduce the Foundation to its target demographic in Denver with a series of ads that took a surprising twist on auditioning for a role in the ballet, creating memorable images and attaching them to Morris Animal Foundation’s mission to help animals everywhere have longer, healthier lives.

In addition to its Platinum and Gold awards, Morris Animal Foundation received six Silver awards for:

  • Email Marketing/Newsletter – AnimalNEWS Tips and Tails
  • News Release – “Hookworms Employ Live Fast/Die Young Strategy in Fur Seal Pup Hosts"
  • Brand Identity – Morris Animal Foundation Identity Suite
  • Website – Morris Animal Foundation Website
  • News Release – “Mockingbirds Show Heightened Aggression After Lead Exposure”

The Muse Creative Awards are administered and judged by International Awards Associates (IAA), and stellar panels of internationally-recognized industry professionals. IAA oversees awards and recognition programs, assembles judging panels, and sets rigorous standards for the competition. More than 1,000 participants from various countries compete for these awards.
