Strawberry Cordial

Forever in our hearts

Strawberry Cordial, commonly referred to as "Old Lady" due to her tendency to move slower than her son and different from most sugar gliders, was my baby and always was. She and two others were rescued from a nearby rescue as a surprise after our bunny died a week before with little background information. We didn't know her age or her relationship with the other two, and after our favorite Mickey Mouse cartoon episode, we usually chuckled when she moved around the house, saying "Here comes Grandma, here comes Grandma!".

She was probably the sweetest animal ever to walk (or fly, might I say) this earth. She could fall asleep under your palms or snuggle under your beanie hat. One time, we took her out to a pizza parlor, and the second the food came, she chirped and threw her head out of her pocket, as in saying "Hey, I want some food too!". She died suddenly with no known cause, and trust me, we've researched our little butts off as to why she left us so suddenly.  She was my best friend and always will be. So, baby girl, rest easy up there.

The journey through grief is different for everyone, but we know support, community and sharing stories help make the experience one of remembrance, renewal and even celebration of the life lost. We hope you find comfort in the memorial you’ve set up for your companion and encourage you to share with family and friends so they can show their love and support.
