Prudence Angelica

Never Forgotten

Prudence Angelica was a surprise kitten as her Mom. Lucy was only 4 months old when she conceived.  Her Dad, Q-Tip was only 6 months old and when I found them mating I told him "I hope you're shooting blanks".  He wasn't and 63 days later Prudence was born - surprise kitten, litter of only 1.  She was immediately named "Prudence" as I felt I should have been more prudent in neutering/spaying before then and "Angelica" because she was truly an Angel, a gift from God.  Prudence was a tortie  with a split face, half orange, half black.  A real cutie.  When she began having problems eating and drooling excessively an x-ray confirmed that she had a tumor eating away her jaw.  Only 11 days after her diagnosis, that tumor must have burst and she began bleeding from the mouth.  The next day it was so excessive and she could only drink.  Unfortunately the time had come to make that awful decision to let her go to St, Francis' Garden so that someday we can cross the Rainbow Bridge together along with all of the other gentle spirits who have blessed our life

The journey through grief is different for everyone, but we know support, community and sharing stories help make the experience one of remembrance, renewal and even celebration of the life lost. We hope you find comfort in the memorial you’ve set up for your companion and encourage you to share with family and friends so they can show their love and support.
