Ollie
Rescued from a difficult beginning in Arizona alongside his brother Archie, Ollie quickly became a beloved and constant presence in the home. Originally named Kody, he was promptly renamed Ollie, which suited his gentle, steadfast nature far better.
Soon after his adoption, Ollie was diagnosed with an exceptionally rare case of valley fever in the brain, a condition few survive. It was later discovered he had also overcome parvovirus as a puppy. Despite it all, he lived many happy years marked by resilience, loyalty, and quiet strength.
A diagnosis of acute pancreatitis in his final chapter required strict dietary changes, which he regarded with characteristic mischief. He remained spirited and affectionate, with a particular fondness for hiking, lizard-chasing, squirrel-watching, and sleeping on carefully chosen piles of laundry. He adored his brother, showed selective affection to a trusted few—most notably “Mr. White”—and gave unwavering companionship throughout his life.
Ollie is and will always be deeply cherished. His absence is profound, and he is missed every day.
