Dusty

Never Forgotten

Dusty was the light in the darkness for me. He helped me to begin to live again. He was sweet, playful, and everyone loved him. Dusty was a very welcome visitor to a nearby nursing home every week for several years.

One family member said he was the most photographed dog in the world because we took so many pictures of him.

People asked me why I got the dog and I said he kissed me. That was that. He was the best dog and even his groomer called him Mr. Dusty because he was such a gentleman.

Dusty loved to play fetch even into his later years. When he was a puppy, I wished I had an extra arm because he was so excited and wore me out chasing toys. At twelve he would return toys until he was tired.

The journey through grief is different for everyone, but we know support, community and sharing stories help make the experience one of remembrance, renewal and even celebration of the life lost. We hope you find comfort in the memorial you’ve set up for your companion and encourage you to share with family and friends so they can show their love and support.
