Chance
Forever in our hearts
Chance was a rescued stray coon hound mix from Georgia. He was my little foster dog for a while and then failed at fostering and he became mine. Chance was such an active little guy and could run like the wind! He was a typical mischievous puppy, but with a lot of training became a most loving, obedient young dog. He was always healthy and then when he was almost three years old he stopped eating and we discovered he had an autoimmune disease called IBD. We took him to the very best veterinarian hospitals and he began a vigorous regiment of medications and diet. His meds helped him begin to eat again , but also compromised his immune system. He was so brave and even though he wasn't very active anymore he still tried to play with our other dog when he could. Two months after he was diagnosed we lost our 17 year old dog, Buddy, who was Chance's friend. Chance made it two more months and he passed away from a secondary lung infection on July 30, 2015. I love this little angel so much and still miss his distinctive coon hound bark in our back yard. He was an angel and now he has his wings. Chance was only a little over two years old. Heartbroken in Georgia.
