Annie
After losing my first golden to hemangiosarcoma, I was going to be a foster for a golden retriever rescue group. Annie was the first dog they gave me & it was my job to find her the perfect home. From the first day we met, she was devoted to me, grateful for my love and care, and she loved me so much. My home turned out to be the perfect home for Annie, & I was blessed to have her in my life for almost 5 years. Last Saturday, I had to let her go because a tumor had ruptured in her abdomen; it was hemangiosarcoma again. She was healthy, frisky at 11 years old & still full of energy & spirit, until moments later, she wasn't. This horrible cancer claims your beloved dog in moments, with no warning or time to prepare. I am devastated to lose my beautiful, perfect, sweet Annie and don't know how I will go on without her in my life. I have been donating to the Morris Animal Foundation Golden Retriever Lifetime Study since I lost my beautiful boy Hutch in 2013. His picture is here on page 30 now. I pray that the study will result in treatments and cure for our beloved goldens, who are so innocent. They ask for nothing and they give so much.
Remembering and honoring you every day, in many different ways
