
MEDIA ALERT: DENVER/September 11, 2024 – Morris Animal Foundation, a nonprofit leader in advancing animal health, welcomed three new members to its Board of Trustees during the Foundation’s annual meeting in June.
“Nonprofit organizations benefit greatly from boards whose members embrace the vision and mission of the organization, and who have a passion for that organization’s work,” said Ryan Welch, Morris Animal Foundation Interim President & CEO. “Our Board of Trustees is committed to the continued success of the Foundation and our newest members are wonderful additions to this important group.”
Newly elected Morris Animal Foundation trustees are:
- Dr. Kristin Bloink is a veterinarian and Vice President of Global Research and External Innovation at Elanco Animal Health. Dr. Bloink is passionate about dogs, and has more than 26 years of experience bridging from human medicine to veterinary medicine.
- Dr. Stephen Fisher currently heads Global Procurement for Mars Veterinary Health. At the beginning of his career, he started a small animal veterinary practice in Illinois, growing it from one employee and himself to eight doctors and over 60 staff. He then added nine more practices in three states with more than 30 veterinarians and 270 employees, eventually selling to Veterinary Centers of America. He’s also served on multiple boards including the Arizona Center for Nature Conservation.
- Ajay Gopal is the CEO and Co-Founder of Rx Studio. Rx Studio offers a digital platform and technology services solution that specializes in personalizing patient medication journeys. His work involves building personalized dosing models from EHR data, licensing their clinical decision support software for prescribing optimal regimens, and deploying patient-facing applications for education and monitoring.
