DENVER/May 21, 2025 – Morris Animal Foundation is seeking applications for its esteemed Veterinary Student Scholar program. This program allows veterinary students to engage in mentor-guided research and inspires them to explore fulfilling careers in animal health science.
The program is open to currently enrolled veterinary students in good standing at any accredited veterinary medicine program. Accreditation from the American Veterinary Medical Association is not required. The program allows each institution to nominate and submit two student project applications annually. Selected students will receive a stipend of $5,500 for a research project starting within six months of the award notification in early September 2025.
The initiative aligns with the Foundation’s dedication to training the next generation of veterinary researchers. Past programs have provided invaluable research opportunities to students in Australia, Indonesia, Rwanda, Mexico, Ghana, Brazil, Uruguay, Kenya and the United States.
Applications for this second student scholar call must be submitted by 4:59 p.m. ET, July 2, 2025. The student and the individual applying (if different from the student) must create an account on Fluxx, an online application system. Please allow up to two business days for Morris Animal Foundation to review and validate the account.
Refer to the Fluxx applicant user guide for more detailed instructions on creating an account and submitting an application.
