Season of Hope - Giving Tuesday
The week of Thanksgiving provides boundless opportunities for us to give thanks and give back to those we care about, including our animal companions. Giving Tuesday on December 1 extends that week of gratitude by offering us a unique chance to stop and reflect on what is really meaningful, and then take action to give back.
Giving Tuesday is a globally recognized day to celebrate and encourage giving. This worldwide movement promotes generosity and the philanthropic spirit, allowing us all to be involved in a community of caring and compassionate people. This generosity extends beyond monetary gifts, as well, including volunteers and supporters who give their time and talents to help others.
At Morris Animal Foundation, we are lucky to have so many passionate people dedicated to helping us create a brighter future for the animals we love. Scientists serving on our advisory committee, volunteers in our Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, along with owners and veterinarians, committees of animal lovers who fight cancer through our K9 Cancer Walks, and our generous donors – we have wonderful supportors all over the world helping animals have healthier lives.
On this Giving Tuesday, we have another way to come together to truly make a difference in funding critical studies on serious health issues affecting dogs, cats, horses and wildlife. And now, during our Morris Animal Foundation Season of Hope, your gift will be matched dollar for dollar to double the impact for animals around the world. Generous anonymous donors have pledged to match gifts made through Dec. 31, 2015, including on this Giving Tuesday, up to $100,000. Thank you.
