America’s Golden Girl Celebrated in Style to Raise Funds and Awareness for Morris Animal Foundation

Morris Animal Foundation trustee Betty White celebrated animal health in style in historic Williamsburg, Va., last weekend. Betty greeted thousands of fans as she arrived in an antique horsedrawn colonial carriage to make a personal appearance at Binn’s of Williamsburg, where she signed a collection of European handcrafted ornaments, called The Pet Set, created by Joy To The World Collectibles.
The celebration continued into the night as Betty joined Morris Animal Foundation supporters at a black-tie gala where she was presented with a one-of-a-kind Betty White–themed cake. Presentation of the cake will be featured on an upcoming episode of Ace of Cakes, on the Food Network.
Funds for both events raised more than $70,000 for the Foundation.
“I was honored to celebrate a day all about the animals with the city of Williamsburg,” said Betty. “Morris Animal Foundation is dear to my heart, and I look forward to celebrating a healthier tomorrow for all animals.”
Betty has endorsed the Joy To The World ornament collection since 1998, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of The Pet Set are donated to Morris Animal Foundation. More than 200 different styles of ornaments are available, including the largest dog breed–specific glass ornament collection on the market.
