Carol began her professional career as a newspaper journalist before joining Colorado State University as a science writer, focusing on veterinary medicine, biomedical sciences and crisis communications. After leaving the university, she founded Connect! Communications, specializing in the development of integrated communications and marketing programs for nonprofit organizations and commercial entities in the sciences.

Carol joined Morris Animal Foundation in 2015 and enjoys bringing communications together with a passion for animals to help the Foundation fulfill its mission. She is a graduate of the Center for Creative Leadership's program, Leadership at the Peak, and leads an innovative, creative, award-winning team. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, hiking in the mountains of Colorado, stand-up paddle boarding, yoga, volunteer work and ongoing efforts to learn French and play the piano.
