Dr. Brown earned her Ph.D. in animal science from Washington State University. She currently serves as a research physiologist and is head of the endocrinology division at the Smithsonian National Zoological Park’s Conservation and Research Center. She serves as a reproductive advisor for both the Rhino and Elephant Taxon Advisory Groups. Her research focuses on finding ways to improve the health, reproduction and welfare of zoo animals.
