Time to Start the Gold Rush
3,000-that's the golden number! Application for Morris Animal Foundation's Golden Retriever Lifetime Study is open, and we're actively recruiting 3,000 Goldens under the age of 2 to take part in this amazing health study.
As part of our recruitment efforts, the Canine Lifetime Health Project team recently visited the 2012 GRCA National Specialty in St. Louis, Missouri, September 4-13. We were delighted to meet many of the Golden Retrievers (and their loving owners, of course) who were there to participate in conformation, agility, field trials, obedience and more. It was a particular pleasure to meet Matilda, one of the 50 dogs who joined us for the pilot test of the application process and who is now fully enrolled in the study.
We're pleased to already have more than 300 eligible Golden Retrievers signed up for the Canine Lifetime Health Project, and their owners were recently invited to apply for the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study. It's a great start, but we've still got a long way to go to reach our goal.
Remember, to become enrolled into the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study, you must:
- Register yourself and your dog at www.CanineLifetimeHealth.org.
- Receive an email offering you the opportunity to apply to the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.
- Once you complete the application process (which includes answering the study questionnaire and completing your veterinary visit), your dog is enrolled into the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.
Now that application to join the Golden Retriever Lifetime Study is open nationwide, please encourage the Golden Retriever owners in your life to join us in the study that will change veterinary medicine for dogs!
