You can be your dog's health care advocate by seeking routine care and watching for these signs of disease. If your dog exhibits any of these behaviors, seek veterinary advice.

  • Abnormal swelling/lumps
  • Sudden collapse
  • Weight loss or weight gain
  • Appetite loss/difficulty eating
  • Sores that don't heal
  • Loss of energy/stamina
  • Bleeding or discharge
  • Persistent cough
  • Foul odor
  • Persistent lameness, stiffness or limping
  • Difficulty breathing, urinating or defecating
  • Vomiting/ diarrhea
  • Eating more than usual
  • Excessive drinking of water, panting, scratching or urination
