September 16, 2010
RENO, NEV.— The 10th annual Pepper/Sampson Memorial Classic NADAC Agility Trial, held July 31 to August 1 to benefit Morris Animal Foundation’s Canine Cancer Campaign, raised more than $8,000, bringing the grand total to $100,000 raised over the past 10 years. Nearly 100 dogs from California, Oregon and Nevada participated in the event.
Lin and Greg Battaglia, owners of mdt/Agility Ability, established the event and the Pepper/Sampson Memorial Fund #335 at Morris Animal Foundation to honor their beloved Sheltie, Pepper, who died of lymphoma in 1999. Last year, the fund’s name was changed to also honor Cherie and Sean Singer’s Sheltie, Sampson, who also died of lymphoma.
