Lumps and Bumps on Our Dogs – Normal or Worrisome?

It’s normal for our dogs to get a little lumpy and bumpy as they age, with skin growths being one of the major reasons pet owners seek veterinary care for their pups. Although the majority of these lumps are benign, owners still need to be concerned about the possibility of skin cancer, particularly the most common malignant skin cancer of dogs – mast cell tumors.

Making the future healthier for animals

For Andrea and Vincent Conti it’s not only love for their golden retriever, Gemma, that connects them to Morris Animal Foundation; it’s a love of science. Andrea has her master’s degree in nursing, and Vincent is a cardiac surgeon on the faculty at the University of Texas Medical Branch. That scientific background is what drew them to Morris Animal Foundation’s Golden Retriever Lifetime Study.
